Why this website exists
This website was set up because the book A Long Way from No Go is not a memoir because a memoir is an account of one's honest personal life and experiences. This book is fantasy, fiction, make believe and lies written by a woman who suffers from serious mental health problems (multiple personality disorder or dissociative identity disorder). The book is much like the authors made up Aboriginal name Tjanara Goreng Goreng it's just stupid and her fictitious name is grossly offensive to Goreng Goreng people and that is why she is referred to by her real name Pam Williams on this website.
People need to be aware of how appalling this book is and realize that the allegations made by the author were never investigated or questioned because if they were this book would have been exposed for the fraud it is and it would never had been published. Unfortunately people like Christine McKee the journalist at the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin, the ghostwriter Julie Szego and the publisher from Wild Dingo Press Cathi Lewis obviously believed all the lies fed to them by Pam Williams.
What the author has said about her life in Longreach and Rockhampton is mainly false or delusional and can be rebutted by her immediate family as well as people who have known her for a number of years.
A more apt title for this book would have been A Long Way from the Truth.
Details of the lies, fiction, make believe, delusions, madness and fantasy of the author are set out in this website.
Cathi Lewis from Wild Dingo Press the publisher of the book was notified by a number of concerned people including members of the authors immediate family that the book contained numerous lies and falsehoods yet Cathi Lewis continued to promote the book despite the warnings which she didn't even have the decency to respond to despite her disclaimer on the inner cover of the book: All care has been taken to verify names, dates and details throughout this book. But, as much is reliant on memory, some unintentional errors may have occurred. The publisher assumes no legal liability or responsibility for inaccuracies; they do, however, welcome any information that will redress them. Cathi Lewis was aware that the author had serious mental health issues as described in the book dissociative identity disorder which should have made her (and the ghost writer Julie Szego) take extra care in investigating the allegations in the book. There is no evidence that any questions were asked of the author about the outlandish allegations, it is appalling!
Julie Szego the ghost writer of the book was also contacted by several different people but just like Cathi Lewis she didn't bother responding and being the ghost writer one would have thought she would have thoroughly investigated the outrageous allegations which are now known to be false and she calls herself a journalist? Not one of Pam's family or any members of her extended family were ever contacted to verify what Pam had said and given the seriousness of the allegations of sexual abuse and supposed rapes one would think these allegations warranted serious investigation. Have a look at Szego's fawning interview in the Links section about the book she ghost wrote, it's appalling.
Christine McKee, a journalist for the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin who wrote five sensational stories in August/September and December 2018 was also advised that the book was written by a woman who has serious mental health problems and who has a propensity to lie about her life but she went ahead and published the stories without proper investigation. (see attached email in the response section from the authors lawyer brother sent to McKee on 23 May 2019)
